I Have Outlived My Pecker" Poem - by Willie Nelson My nookie days are over, my pilot light is out... What used to be my pride and joy, is now my water spout... Time was when, on its own accord, from my trousers it would spring... But now I've got a full time job, to find the friggin' thing... It used to be embarrassing, the way it would behave... For every single morning, it would stand and watch me shave... Now as old age approaches, it sure gives me the blues... To see it hang its little head, and watch me tie my shoes!!!

Willie Nelson DID NOT write this. It's just a very, very old joke!!

My parents had an album by Doug Clark and the Hot Nuts, a known ribald rhythm and blues band of the 1960's. They performed something like that between songs, that had about 80% of these lyrics...but I don't know if they were the authors either. As I recall:

"Now that I'm old and feeble, my pilot light is out.
What used to be my sex appeal is now my water spout.

It used to make me angry to make that thing behave,
Why every morning when I got up, it'd stand and watch me shave.

Now that I'm getting older, it still gives me the blues
Now it just hangs down my leg, to watch me shine my shoes."
